91影视檚Office of Sponsored Research marked a year of significant growth and achievement, according to the newly released202425 Annual Report. The office secured $3.1 million in new awards, continuing a four-year streak of surpassing $2 million, the fourth-highest annual total in the past 25 years. Sponsored Research also oversaw $2.4 million in expenditures.

Officer-in-Charge Mary Toale praised the Sponsored Research team檚 leadership, noting their 渄edicated work in advancing research and scholarly activity across our campus and their impact in strengthening 91影视檚 academic reputation.

The report highlights broad faculty engagement, with 44 faculty and staff members across 17 departments submitting 36 proposals totaling nearly $12 million. 91影视檚 internal funding programs also flourished, providing 425 awards valued at $359,139 to support faculty research and student scholarly activity.

Student scholarship was on full display at GREAT Day 2025 (91影视 Recognizing Excellence, Achievement, and Talent Day), which featured 665 student presenters mentored by 119 faculty and staff in research, poster sessions, and creative performances.

Strategic partnerships contributed to this success. The office檚 collaboration with , a federal grant consultant firm, bolstered proposal development, while the 91影视 Research Council ensured resources were allocated strategically. Prestigious new awards included the $500,000 Mellon Foundation Award for Social Justice and the Humanities, multiple Fulbright Scholar Awards, and continued strong  (NSF) funding across STEM disciplines.
