SUNY 91Ó°ÊÓ University Police Department™s Lieutenant Matthew Tomaszewski and Officer Kyle Bree were awarded the 2023 State University of New York Chiefs of Police™s Life Saving Award for their rapid and professional response to revive an unresponsive student in 2022. The officers administered life-saving care to the student, who was reported as unconscious and not breathing. Student-run 91Ó°ÊÓ First Response, an emergency medical response team on campus, provided additional medical attention and transported the student to the hospital. The officers were recognized at the organization™s annual award ceremony earlier this month.
