Friday Knight Alumni Spotlight
Tell us about yourself. Where you live now, career, and/or family news. What have you been up to since you left 91Ó°ÊÓ?
I actually got my MASTER™S degree (not Bachelor™s!) at 91Ó°ÊÓ, in psychology. After that, I got a doctorate and then worked as a clinical psychologist, first in the Army and then for the federal government and in private practice. I™ve been married 40 years, have three kids and three grandkids (plus one on the way!). I enjoy helping 91Ó°ÊÓ undergrads with career consultation through the 91Ó°ÊÓ alumni consultation program. I™ve lived in Northern Virginia for over 30 years. I also enjoyed helping with the 91Ó°ÊÓ™s Externship Program when it came to DC over the last several years.
What is the best thing about your current job?
I work for myself (finally!). My practice involves evaluating Veterans™ mental disorders, which come from their days in the military. It™s extremely challenging and rewarding work.
